Private Room in a 2-Bedroom Apartment and Rooftop Infinity Sky Pool at Regalia Suites & Residences, Kuala Lumpur (Booked via Airbnb)

One of my life’s pleasures is to chill by the edge of a rooftop infinity sky pool overlooking the stunning Kuala Lumpur city skyline – it is a wonderful and memorable experience. And, to share that special moment with my Kiwi fiancé is just priceless. We shared that special moment in the infinity rooftop sky pool located on the 37th floor of Regalia Suites and Residences.

Access to the rooftop infinity sky pool is strictly restricted to residents and guests staying at the property and thanks to Airbnb, we stayed in a private room in a 2-bed apartment at Regalia Suites & Residences for a fraction of the price. 😀

There are not many skyscrapers in New Zealand except for in big cities like Auckland. Most of the buildings are either single or double-storey in height. Therefore, it would be a pleasure to treat my fiancé to a spectacular view of Kuala Lumpur’s city skyline featuring the iconic Petronas Twin Towers and Kuala Lumpur Tower.

We had several accommodation options to choose from; each with its own breathtaking views and locations.  In the end, we decided to spend the night at Regalia Suites & Residences. So, we booked a 2 nights stay in a private room in a 2-bed apartment at Regalia Suites & Residences via Airbnb. 😀 For your info, I often use Airbnb to book my accommodations when travelling overseas especially in Europe.

The booking process was simple and easy. Kate who looks after the property on behalf of Max (owner) was attentive to our queries and accommodative to our needs. She also helped us to arrange for a taxi pick-up and drop-off with a reliable driver – Peter and his partner, Nic. Once the booking was made, we were all set for our short getaway in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In total, we spent about NZD80 (NZD71 rent + NZD9 service fee), approximately RM240 for a 2-night stay in a private room in a 2-bed apartment at Regalia Suites & Residences, Kuala Lumpur.

A Cosy Apartment & Comfortable Stay in the Private Room

The self-check in process to our private room (Room B) in the 2-bed room apartment at Regalia Suites & Residences was a breeze. The step-by-step instructions given by Kate were helpful. We collected our keys and access card from Carrot Café located next to Block C lobby.

After registering our details with the nice security guard, we proceeded to our room/apartment located on the 5th floor of the building. The 2-bedroom apartment itself was clean, spacious and well-kept. Its facilities include a fully functional kitchen, laundry, living room and balcony.

My fiancé and I stayed in Room B, while Room A was occupied by other guests. Our room was clean and spacious – as described on the Airbnb website. It came with its own bathroom and toilet, but it was not attached to the bedroom. The bed was comfortable and the view was not too bad. Overall, it was a pretty decent and comfortable apartment and bedroom. 🙂

Things Are Not What They Seem To Be – Never Ever Order Food from Spritz Home Delivery @ Regalia Residences!!!

As much as we loved the apartment and room, there are several negative things that I would like to point out. First, the photos featured on the website were not an accurate representation of the apartment or room we got; meaning to say we got a different apartment from the one shown in the photos.

The photos shown were for an apartment unit located on a higher floor, but our apartment was located on a lower floor (fifth floor). However, we have no problems with it because it was a pretty decent apartment and bedroom after all. 🙂 Secondly, the shower head in the bathroom was not compatible with its holder. It kept falling off and it was impossible to shower without holding the shower head with one hand.

Finally, the in-house food delivery service (Spritz Home Delivery @ Regalia Residences) was horrible!!! Horrible because it was pricey and tastes awful. The RM10 measly potato wedges did not even come with any tomato/chilli or mayonnaise sauce and the RM8 fried rice was dry and tasteless. Thank goodness we did not splurge our money to order more expensive food from the menu – for it was A TOTAL RIP-OFF!!! 🙁

Take our advice and NEVER EVER ORDER FOOD FROM SPRITZ HOME DELIVERY @ REGALIA RESIDENCES if you stay there. It is better to eat out or get food from somewhere else at a much reasonable price and taste. You have been warned.

A Spectacular View from the Rooftop Infinity Sky Pool on the 37th Floor @ Regalia Suites & Residences

To be honest, we only stayed at Regalia Suites & Residences to gain access to its rooftop infinity sky pool and breathtaking Kuala Lumpur city skyline view. Many people would agree with us that it is the only selling point of the property, other than for its strategic location within the city centre and close to public transportation hubs (Putra/PWTC Stations) as well as shopping centre (Sunway Putra Shopping Mall).

Indeed, the view from the rooftop infinity sky pool @ infinity pool on the 37th floor of Regalia Suites & Residences was impressive!! My fiancé and I were blown away by the beauty of Kuala Lumpur’s city skyline. On that special day, we worked together to conquer two obstacles; his fear of heights and my fear of water, and we had a splashing fun time doing so. 😀

Come evening, we had a romantic candlelight dinner for two @ sky dining at Hemisphere Restaurant & Bar located on the same floor as the infinity pool to celebrate our love. It was a sweet and memorable moment for us. In a nutshell, we enjoyed our brief stay in Regalia Suites & Residences and would recommend it to all.

Amazing view from the pool, indeed.

The food looks horrible. The fried rice looks like it is fried only with soy sauce. A total rip-off with such a price! You can get that for RM 4 or less at other eateries.

    1. Hi Khai,

Yes, the food was a total rip-off!!! We were very disappointed by its quality especially for the price we paid. =( Like you said, we could get that for less the price elsewhere and it probably tastes better too. Never ever order from the in-house food delivery service (Spritz Home Delivery @ Regalia Residences)!!!

Other than that, the room and apartment as well as the view from the rooftop infinity sky pool is amazing! Worth the money spent just for that. =D
