This is Part 2 of my write-up for Glur Hostel Aonang, a unique hostel that is located in Krabi, Thailand. The managing director of the hostel, B Chanchanok Pientam took care of my booking and tour inquiries very well. She gave helpful information and made my stay there a pleasant one. 🙂

Peace & Quiet Amidst The Lush Greenery

Below are photos of Glur Hostel‘s facilities – an open-air sitting/common area with a 42″ TV and DVD player, the kitchen and garden area. As expected, there is greenery as far as the eyes can see. Fresh, cool air is all around and the atmosphere of the hostel is both quiet and relaxing. However, be warned that there are many mosquitoes and insects present therefore, it is wise to have an insect repellent with you at all times.

Also, there are security cameras all over the vicinity except for in the bathrooms and rooms – I checked. 😉 Therefore, safety is something that you can be assured of while staying in Glur Hostel. Many travellers/backpackers commented that the hostel is located slightly far from Aonang Beach as compared to the other hostels or hotels in the area however, the distance will not be a problem if you don’t mind a healthy 20-30 minutes walk. It is not that far, really. Besides, tuk tuks are aplenty. You can take a tuk tuk ride to the beach and back for a mere THB 80 per single trip.
