If you are looking for a unique place to stay or visit in George Town, Penang with photos that can grace your Instagram feed to make people go green with envy, go to Kim Haus Loft on Campbell Street. Almost every inch of this property is artistically decorated with finesse and flair. 😉
From its café, to the bar, restaurant and even the rooms, every corner of the property exudes class and comfort in accordance with its gold and luxury theme.
Of Gold & Luxury Instagram-Worthy Artistic Interior Décor
This revamped jeweller shop turned into a goldsmith museum, café, bakery, restaurant, bar and hotel all-in-one is truly sight to behold. From the moment we laid our eyes on the 3-storey building to the moment we stepped into our room, my fiancé and I cannot stop admiring the interior décor of Kim Haus Loft.
Textured walls, lavish furniture, timeless antiques, eye-catching murals and lighting makes the place look beautiful and inviting. We love how Kim Haus Loft cleverly incorporated the old and new into their design. All it needs is a camera and pose to produce beautiful Instagram-worthy photos. 😀
Since the property also happens to be a goldsmith museum, we got to widen our knowledge in the art and craft of the gold trade. Information on how gold is mined, processed and crafted is displayed to the public and hotel guests. It was enlightening to see the tools of the trade up-close and personal.

Good Food and Drinks & a Bustling Live Band Music Scene
We found out that Kim Haus Loft has a bustling live band music scene. There are live band performances at their café every week, featuring both local and international musicians. Although my fiancé and I did not spend time chilling out at their bar, restaurant or café, we got to listen to the live music from the comfort of our room. 🙂
The influence of music can be seen on the walls which are decorated with precious, antique vinyl album covers. Murals of famous people with their notable quotes decorated the wall too – yet another photo-worthy scene.
According to the reviews left by the guests who have stayed at the property, the café, restaurant and bar serve good food and drinks in particular, coffee. Kim Haus Loft boasts a healthy, pork free menu served fresh from the kitchen/oven with no preservatives added. We especially love its freshly baked buttery croissants, eaten with strawberry jam and butter.

Facilities & Features at Kim Haus Loft
The washing machines and dryer are available on the fourth floor of the building and are free to use by the hotel guests. However, washing powder and detergent is not provided. An ironing board is available for use too.
Each floor of the building has its very own executive lounge and balcony. An open-air mini gym area is available on the second floor, whereas the open-air courtyard decorated with an eye-catching mural of an alien is located on the third floor.
Drinking water is provided for free on all floors, availability based on a first-come-first serve basis. Rest assured to know that the water bottles are refillable at the water dispenser located on the fourth floor of the building, nearby the laundry area. The free Wi-Fi was a hit and miss experience. Sometimes, it was good, sometimes, it was not.
